Jack was born on June 5, 1937, in Louisville, Tennessee, to Helen and John Jeffries. As an adult, he relocated to Florida where he dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Florida Department of Agriculture working his way through the ranks in the process.
Jack was known for his kind heart, dedication to family, and willingness to help anyone in need. A talented woodworker and true handyman, he could build or fix just about anything. He was always willing to lend a hand for family, friends, and neighbors. His warm personality and genuine kindness made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Jack was also known for his sweet tooth and mischievous sense of humor that made everyone he met a friend.
Above all, Jack loved his family deeply and treasured the time spent with those he cared about. His kindness, generosity, and love for his family and friends will be deeply missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving partner, Roberta Lawson; his sister, Peggy (Gordon) Core; his sons, Tim (Lisa) Jeffries and Phil (Jeanene) Jeffries; his grandchildren, Tricia Walden, Michael Jeffries, and John Jeffries; and his great-grandsons, Caleb and Riley Walden. He shared stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with Jenny.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and John Jeffries; his sister, Virginia Anderson; his brother, Ted Jeffries; his wife and mother of his two boys Peggy Little; and his beloved wife, Virginia (Jenny) Jeffries.
Services will take place at a later date at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home & Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Jack’s name to his favorite charity the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
