Jacqueline Mason

Jackie was a long-time resident of Belleville before moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 2010. She previously lived with her family in Wood River and Jerseyville. Jackie was a member of Westview Baptist Church. She was a member of the Elegant Swans Red Hat Society, participated in activities with Dignity Memorial LIFT support group, and volunteered at Programs and Services for Older Persons (PSOP). Jackie enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. Her kindness and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Mason, whom she married on June 21, 1958, her mother, Virginia Mahan, nee Travis, her father, Kenneth Switzer, and her brother, Ronald Switzer.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin Mason (Glen Allen, M0) and Mark Mason (Grafton, IL), her daughter, Debra Mason (Jacksonville, FL), her stepmother, MaryAnn Switzer (Belleville), her grandchildren: Seth (Jamie) Mason, Amanda Allen, and Alicia Mason, all from Jerseyville, and Kyle Mason (New Athens, IL), and five great-grandchildren: Mason and Morgan Allen, Wyatt Frank, and Karleigh and Keegan Mason, all from Jerseyville. She is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Lake View Funeral Home on Monday, July 11th at 12:00 with Rev. Vance Vyers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
