James Madison Edwards, age 70, beloved son of Jennie Ingram Edwards and John Dennis Edwards passed on to glory Saturday, June 18, 2011, in Jacksonville, Florida. James Edwards was a loving father, grandfather and a Vietnam War Veteran of the U.S. Army and of the Baptist faith. He will be dearly missed by his family, close friends and classmates of Badin, North Carolina where he was born and raised.
He is survived by his daughters: Theresa Edwards, Jacqueline Edwards, and Lisa Edwards; His grandchildren Kiaira Edwards, Dakwan Edwards, Tamisha Edwards and Charlene Edwards, and Tiffany McCray; His great-grandchildren Khadjah Edwards and Dejashnae Edwards ; and our newest edition Tamia Gerard.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, June23, 2011 at Town and Country Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 12:30 AM Friday, June 24, 2011 located at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
