James was born with Muscular Dystrophy, but when he was younger, he could run around, play, walk and say a few words. As he got older, he lost the ability to do many of those things. Despite his physical struggles, James loved going to school and graduated from Alden Road Exceptional Center.
James liked spending time with his family, people watching, being outside, shopping for clothes, and listening to music. His favorite song was “Happy” by Pharrell Williams and he listened to it every day.
James leaves behind his mom Peggy, step-dad Thomas, brother Jeffrey (Brittany), step-brothers Tommy, James (Erin) and step-sister Faith and numerous other family members.
Thank you to all of the teachers, therapists, doctors, friends and family who have helped James live his best life!
A special thank you to Gloria Blue who was like a second Mom to James.
A visitation for James will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225 followed by a funeral service starting at 2:00 PM.
