James W. Miller "Jim" went to be with our heavenly Father on November 18, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida, to join his wife Dorothy E. Miller along with his parents Archie and Mary Miller. He was a great father to Jeanette (John) Payne and Mary (Rick) Yeomans. He was a grandfather to Dorothy Payne, Angela (David) Herrin, Jennifer (Michael) Griffin, Timothy Yeomans, Jeremy Yeomans, and Rebecca Payne. He was blessed with nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Jim served his country in the Army in World War II. He came home and married Dorothy then they had two wonderful daughters. He obtained a degree and taught engineering at a technical school. Later he worked as an engineer at various companies. He retired from his lifelong career as an engineer at England, Thims and Miller after working for thirty years.
He proudly served as a deacon and teacher in each of the churches he attended. He loved the Lord and the Bible classes he taught. He led many revival services and mission trips over the numerous years that he spent in service to God. His love for teaching and spreading God's word led him to publish two books of which are titled, His Touch My Story and That None Should Presume.

Services will be held at Chapel Hills Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville Florida 32225, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Paul Steinbach as officiant.
