James Weaver Music Jr. age 74,of Jacksonville, Fl., went to Heaven July 23rd 2021 surrounded by his children and his wife Marie. James was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, grew up in Daytona, Fl. and resided in Jacksonville, Fl. His parents James and Thelma Music Sr. preceded him in death. He is survived by the love of his life for 55 years , Marie L. Music and his three daughters Lisa Beadle, Barbara Griffin, Michelle Aspinwall and his dog Coco Channel. He is also survived by his brother John Music and his two sisters April Sears and Cheryl Hutchinson. James has 8 grandchildren Kayla, Tatum, Hunter Beadle, Chelsea and Matt Griffin, Breana (Nugent), Ryan and Rylee James Aspinwall and several great grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews.
James graduated from Florida State College with an AA degree. He began working at the young age of 7 helping his father with painting and small carpenter jobs. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from July 1964 to August 1967 which included a tour of Vietnam. He received an Honorable Discharged in August 1967. James worked 46 years in the steel industry retiring August 8, 2013. James was a faithful member of the Church of Suncoast. He also volunteered in the community coaching children in softball and gymnastics.
James Music Jr. was a people-person and had a special gift that would make everyone he talked with feel like they were the most important person around. He never missed a moment to witness the Word of God and no matter what he was going through would remain a shinning light. James was a hardworking family man who could out-work anyone all the while making the task fun! James loved to hunt and took care of his family and anyone in need. He will truly be missed but never forgotten.
He is the “Rock“ of our family and his light will continue to shine down all of us.
A visitation for James will be held Friday July 30,2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd Jacksonville, Fl. 32205.
Funeral service is 11:00am Saturday July 31,2021 at The Church of Suncoast 4200 Georgetown Dr., Jacksonville, FL. 32210 with graveside ceremony held at Memorial Cemetery around 1pm.
