James W. Timmons

James W. “Cigar” Timmons, age 76, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Jacksonville, FL. James was born November 18, 1935 at home in Fort Dodge, Iowa to James Vernon and Doris (Underwood) Timmons. James was a very active member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. He was a member of USW of Florida. James cherished his many hours of time spent with family and friends and had a heart of giving. Survivors include three devoted sons Mark William Timmons (Pamela), James Barry Timmons (Kathy), Keith Bryan Timmons (Rebecca); one brother Vernon Timmons; three sisters Pat Howell (Earl), Rita Combs, Barbara Perry; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville,FL. 32205. Family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Hardage- Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Thursday, October 25, 2012 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32210 with Father Jose Kulathinal as celebrant. Interment will follow services at Riverside Memorial Park. Immediately following the interment please join the family for a reception at St. Matthew’s Parish Hall.
