James R. Wight Sr., 82, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born March 8, 1933 to Henry and Maude Wight in Cairo, GA. James loved to go hunting and has many pictures to prove it. He also enjoyed working in his wood shop and watching Nascar with Jeff Gordon being his driver. James is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn, 1 son James R. Wight Jr., 1 brother Ted (Geraldine) Wight, 1 sister Julia (Ralph) Kurtz, 1 grandson, 1 great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 5-7pm at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 2pm with interment at Riverside Memorial Park.
