

Jamie was preceded in death by his father, Yok L. Hom; Paternal grandparents, Dod Hop Hom (Seng-Jen) and Wai Yung; Maternal grandmother, Kee Sau Chow. He is survived by his loving mother, Mae Hom; two loving and devoted sisters, Belinda Barrett (Randy) and Elaine Cole; two loving and devoted nieces, Jennifer Blair and Kiersten McGuinness (Jeffrey); grand-nephews & grand-nieces, Gauge Blair, Bradley McGuinness, Jocelee Moody, Alleigh McGuinness, and Ellie Pennington. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will sadly miss him.
After graduating from University of North Florida with his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, he began his career in the accounting industry that lasted for 35 years. Throughout his career, he worked at Merrill Lynch, Haskell, and Stillwater Insurance Company.
Jamie was a dedicated Jacksonville Jaguars fan. He had been a season ticket holder since their inception in 1995. He loved going to all the home games every football season. If he wasn’t at the football stadium, he loved being at the ball fields. Whether it was playing softball or coaching softball, he loved the game of softball.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Riverside Event Pavilion, located at 1373 Memorial Park Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32205. The family will have a small reception following the service.
