Jane Parker Peterson, aged 83, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on October 21, 2022. She was born in Tallahassee, FL on April 11th, 1939 to Edward Merritt Parker of Virginia and Nellie Doris Atkinson of Maryland. She was raised in Miami, Florida and attended Miami Senior High School. She moved to Jacksonville and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School.
On December 6, 1958 she married Jacksonville native, Lawrence Meredith Peterson. She spent the next 65 years dedicating her life to her husband and children. Jane was a member of the Jacksonville Women’s Club and Garden Club. She was a hunter of antiquities and relished finding the perfect piece.
She is survived by her sons, Lance (and wife, Trulie), Darryl and Sean (wife, Tara) and her daughter Jalaine (husband, Michael) and her grandchildren Liam, Miles, Hogan, Jacob, Thomas, and Elizabeth.
A funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
