Genevieve Herrin “Jean” Adams of Jacksonville, FL passed away on April, 19, 2014. Jean was born in Senoia, GA on February 3rd, 1923 and was the youngest of five children. She was married to Byron Adams from 1954 until his death in 2002.
As a young adult, Jean lived in Atlanta, GA and worked for the Coca-Cola Company. From 1958-1965 she co-owned with husband Byron the Crescent Drive-In Theatre in Edgewater, FL. During her 53 years in Southside Jacksonville she enjoyed homemaking, friendships and family, helping people in need, music, laughter, and her many pets. She was an active and joyful member of Spring Glen Methodist Church.
Jean is survived by her two sons, Byron and William Barnes Adams, one daughter Dianne Lindsey, grandchildren, Ryan and Morgan Hopfensperger and MaryCarson Adams, Kenneth and Laine Lindsey, nephews Clark Rodgers and Carter Hill, and nieces Lynne Hannon and Jan Kiernan.
