Jeanette Hurst Brown, 88, was called home by her Lord and Savior on January 27, 2015 with family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Dr. Amil E. Brown. She is survived by her three children Wanda Markham (Jerry), Jacksonville, FL; Stan Brown (Gail), Charleston, SC; and Steve Brown (Pat), Overland Park, KS; four grandchildren Michael Markham, Scott Markham, Stacey Baldwin, and Chris Brown; four great-grandchildren; and one brother and two sisters. Jeanette served as a pastor’s wife for 45 years at the Missionary Baptist Tabernacle, Jacksonville. She was passionate about serving the Lord in all her endeavors, being a Godly mother to her children, and a Christian influence to everyone she met. She was truly an example of a Proverbs 31 Godly lady. The family wishes to extend a Special Thank You to the staff at All Saints Catholic Nursing Home for their compassionate care for our mother. On Saturday, January 31st at 11:00 am, family and friends will celebrate her life at West Jacksonville Baptist Church, 5634 Normandy Blvd. the family will receive friends at 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home.
