Jeffrey Allen Tilley, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. He was born September 4, 1971 in Goldsboro, NC. Jeff was a person of many interests, hobbies, and skills. He was someone who loved to work with his hands, always tinkering and fixing things both big and small. After several years of working in the auto body and painting industry, Jeff branched out and opened his own lawn business, Trimworx, which he ran successfully for the past 20 years. Even more important to Jeff, however, was his family. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his wife and two sons traveling, fishing, and coaching baseball. Jeff also had a large extended family and stable of friends that were testament to his kind, generous and caring soul. Nobody was a stranger to Jeff. He will forever be loved and missed. He is preceded in death by his father Wesley Adkins Tilley, mother Peggy Hunt Tilley, brother Randy Tilley, Father-In-Law Charles Cassin and Mother-In-Law Sherry Cassin. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Ramie Tilley; his two sons Andrew and Nicholas; his sisters Sandra Gayle Peele (Mike), Sharon Tilley; his Sister-In-Law Tracey Grant (Steve), brother-in-law Scott Cassin (Diane); Nephews Brian Peele (Tammy), Brandon Peele (Kelly), Zachery Grant, Spencer Peele & Josh Tilley; Nieces Laura Matteis, Abbey Cassin, Riley Cassin, Allison Peele, Laura Kate Peele, Adrianne Peele & Jessica Tilley. First met Jeff when he took over the lawn maintenance at my local business, also at our home.
He always had that “Jeff smile”, even when it was very hot outside. I know he loved his wife and kids very much. Between being their baseball coach, fishing and hunting he was such a great father, and husband too.
Jeff, Ramie and his kids were there for us just after hurricane Matthew to assist with debris cleanup. They were so amazing.
We are just so shocked, and saddened to hear the horrible news.

Ramie,
When we got the news about Jeff I was shocked. Just last week, you and I spoke at length about how blessed we are to have great husbands. Just listening to you speak of Jeff and the boys melted my heart. You are a lovely lady and Jeff loved you unconditionally. You're an awesome mom to the boys and I'm only a cube and phone call away. May the memories of Jeff be your strength and bring you peace.

Dear Ramie, the air left my body when I got the news of Jeffs passing through Leroy. I'm setting here in 2019 with thoughts of the 80's going through my head. He was a good ole strong Eastern Wayne boy! He loved you and your parents. He helped me out so much with my tore up cars. He made them look perfect. I am praying and thinking of you often. Love, Frankie
