Jessy Edward Sherwood was born May 27,1923 in Kifer, Maryland. Jessy received his minister degree from Johnson Bible College. He was married to his loving wife Betty, for 69 years in which she served with Jess pastoring four churches in 55 years, the last at Lynnwood Christian Church for 37 years. He was an active member of the Swiss Cove Christian Church. He leaves behind a loving family including sons: Joseph(Elena) and Norman(Lisa).Grandchildren: Jessica, Joseph,Jennifer,Justin(Jenny)Ashley(Chad) & Clayton(Hayley) Great grandchildren: Jordan,Kelton, Connor,Jason ,Riley,Harper,Brooke, Justin & Hudson. Nephew: Kenneth Hall.
Funeral services will be held October 16 2021, at Swiss Cove Christian Church. Viewing will begin at 11:00 with services at 12:00. Graveside will begin at 3:00 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park.
The family ask in-leu-of flowers donations to be given to the Christ’s Cupboard Food Pantry.
