Jill Marie Guthrie Buser

Jill was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was born in Mobile, Alabama, on October 31, 1962. She graduated from Terry Parker High School in 1980 and attended Jacksonville University. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader, and was active in the church and various charitable organizations.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Buser, three daughters, Amanda Buser, Rachel Carby, and Sarah Buser; a son, Matthew Buser; two granddaughters, Aubrie and Isabella Carby; her father and mother, Forrest and Marilou Guthrie; sisters, Karen Albury and Brenda Guthrie; brothers Lane and Kent Guthrie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road, N., Jacksonville, FL. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014, 11:00 am, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 8264 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL followed by interment at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens on St. Johns Bluff Road.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry (BEAM) or the Jacksonville Humane Society. Before passing, Jill requested that her funeral be a joyous occasion and wanted people to wear bright and vibrant colors.
