

Jim “Tillmon” Nipper. age 77, passed away Oct. 5, 2013, in Jacksonville, Fl. “Tillmon” as he was well known to family and friends, was born in Douglas, GA to Wright Nipper and Pearl Spell, on June 30, 1936, in Nichols, Ga. He graduated from Nichols High School and later attended Jones College in Jacksonville, Fl. Tillmon was an Honorably Discharged veteran of the United States Army, as a Tech/Specialist (E4) and later employed by Astor Products (Winn Dixie). His passions included Nipper Properties, fishing and farming his own property. He was predeceased by his wife, Wanda; sons Ronald and Donald; brothers Wright, Louie, Leo, James and Tommy; sisters Dorothy Hursey, and Stella Bacco. He is survived by sons Steven, Stanley, and Jim Jr.; brother Robert and sister Inez Hursey; grandchildren Shelly, Adam, Andy, Rebecca, Dillon, and Katelynn; five Great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A very special thank you goes to his caregiver Jennifer Weaver. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville. FL 32205. A public visitation and celebration of life service will be held, Friday October 11, 2013 from 5:00 –7:00 pm at Town and Country. This will be followed by a Funeral service at 11:00 am Saturday October 12, at Town and Country with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Pastor Ronnie Hargrove Sr. will be officiating.
