Jimmy Douglas Cantrell Sr., 71, passed away July 19, 2016 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born May 25, 1945 in Yolo, CA to Jim and VidaMay Cantrell. Jimmy was a Navy Veteran who served his country from 1963 to 1990 and retired as a Boiler Technician First Class. He was a proud member of the Jacksonville Offshore Fishing Club.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Connie, son Jimmy Cantrell Jr, daughter Renna Haag, father Jim, sister Linda Sue, half-sister Kathy Henry, half-sister Jane Johnson, step-children Dottie Hamilton, Keith Sours, Gary Sours, Tim Sours, Chris Walker, and Danny Walker. Jimmy loved and cherished his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his little buddy Izzy.
Jimmy was predeceased by his mother VidaMay, sister Alfreda, and half-sister Dorothea.
Jimmy loved the sea and anything having to do with fishing. In accordance with his wishes, his remains will be given to the sea.
