I remember when Mr. Barnhill always gave the a big warm hug each Sunday morning and a huge smile as everyone walked in. I would say I was praying for him and he responded he was praying for me too. I always asked how he was doing and he never let on any complaints or fuss. What a sweet dear gentleman whose light shown, whose open spirit was shared and whose eyes shown brightly and wide with each greeting into worship. The church lobby seems empty without him there to greet all. The world is less without such an honorable man. Rest in peace kind Sir. Rest in peace.

John had a passion for cooking & grilling & he loved to share his food with others. At the last pig roast he & I had a chance to pray with some people visiting that day. It was a very special time!

John will always be remembered by so many, especially those who attended West Side Christian Church as I did before moving out of town. He gave of himself putting on the Pig Roasts, sharing a hug or a smile with all who knew and loved him. I am so sad for his family.
