
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 16, 1950 to the late John S. Forster Jr, and Dorothy J. Forster. As a young child the family relocated to Florida. John was the oldest of 4 boys. He was a good big brother always teaching, and guiding his younger brothers.
John was a graduate of Terry Parker High School. He obtained his AA degree from Florida Community College of Jacksonville.
After high school he worked with his father in the plastics business for awhile before joining The United States Marine Corps. He served 10 plus years, working as a Radio Man on Amphibious tank. After the Marines, John drove for UPS for many years. Switching careers, in his late 30's, he then worked for Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville as a Plant Operator to retire after 20 years of service.
John is predeceased by his Father John S. Forster Jr, Grandmother Pearl Forster, and Grandfather John S. Forster Sr. He survived by his Mother Dorothy J. Forster, Brothers Gregory Forster, Douglas Forster, and Spencer Forster (Marian Forster) Wife Claudia Forster, Daughters Renae Buckey (William Buckey) Jacqueline Forster Banks (Brian Goss) and Son John S. Forster IV. 6 Grandchildren Carissa, Joshua, Jenna, Brittany, Breonna, and Brandon, and 2 Nieces Allison and Emily.
Our family would like to extend a sincere Thank You to the staff at Northeast Florida Community Hospice Earl B. Hadlow Center For Caring. The compassion they showed to John in his last days, will be remembered by our family forever.
A privet family service will be held on Friday June 3, 2016.
