John Harvey Hawk 90 Years Old Passed away on September 1, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida
He retired from JTA after working 30+ years as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of First Coast Christian Center since 1979. John enjoyed wood working, making crosses and puzzles. He could often be found in his “Shanty” tinkering with various things and he was always happy to show you his key collection. John was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Alice Hawk, 6 sisters Sarah, Betty, Mary Elizabeth, Marie, Florence, and Nell. 3 children John Gordon, Emily Hunt and Mary Jane Stover. John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dorothy, brother: Richard (Pat) Hawk and children: Jim (Pat) Hawk, John Hawk, Richard Hawk, Geoff (Linda) Gordon, Kathleen (Paul) Caputo, and Sean (Kellie) Gillespie. Grandchildren: Eric, Julie, Amy, Jamie, Terri, Alan, Adam, Matthew, Christopher (Katrina), Joshua, Julie, Stevie, and several great grandchildren.
Visitation 10:30am Funeral Service 11:00am at First Coast Christian Center 2724 New Berlin Rd, Jacksonville, on Monday, September 9th by Pastor Perry Fruscella. Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home serving the family.
