John Walton Malcolm, age 87, passed away Sunday March 1, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on March 26, 1928 in Fitzgerald, Georgia to Walton and Jessie (Hobgood) Malcolm. He was a member of Wesley Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Lou Dennis and Martha Calhoun. John was very fluent in many languages and adverse in education of religion. He will be missed dearly by his loving wife of 58 years Gladys Malcolm; son Terry Eugene Malcolm; daughter Judith Butler-Earnhardt (Vohn); two grandchildren Stacey Rowe (Seth) and Wayne Butler Jr.; two great grandchildren Seth Jacob Rowe Jr. and Arman Butler. Family will receive family and friends 1:00 – 2:00 pm Friday, March 6, 2015 at Hardage- Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Riverside Memorial Park.
