Johnny Wesley Carter, 78, passed away on May 10th 2012 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born February 26, 1934 in Jacksonville, FL. He retired from the U.S. Army and U.S. Postal service after 55 years of service. He is survived by wife Dorothy A. Carter, children Rev. Johnny Jr., Pastor Anthony, Yvonne, Charri and Crystal. Visitation will be Thursday, May 17th from 6-8pm at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road N. Homegoing services will be Friday, May 18th at 11:00am at the First New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 4835 Soutel Dr. Jacksonville, FL 32208. Interment will be held Monday, May 21st at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 9:30am.
