With deepest sorrow, we announce that Jonathon Ellington Grimmett, age 30, beloved son, father, life partner, family member and friend passed suddenly on June 28, 2021 at his home in Jacksonville, Florida.
Jonathon was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Huntsville, Alabama with his mother, Imiuri McDaniel (Grimmett) at the age of three and remained until 2008 when he enlisted and served in the United States Navy for six years.
Jonathon will be greatly missed by his mother, Imiuri McDaniel, stepfather Rodney, his life partner Yahibe, his beautiful daughters Kyah Imiuri Grimmett and Cataleya Amani Grimmett, his son Matthew, his grandmothers Barbara McLeod and Ola Grimmett, his loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Brothers in Love, Godmother, and many friends.
Memorial Service to be held in Alabama with date announced at a later time.
