Joseph Paul Civita of Jacksonville, FL formerly of The Bronx, left this earth peacefully on March 2, 2017. He was born on June 8, 1931 in Oneonta, NY. He was predeceased by his mother, Mildred Vanacore (Amatuccio), his infant son, Mario, and first great-grandchild, infant, Francisco. He leaves behind his wife Alice (Caggiano), daughters, Constance and Christine; sons, Wayne and Joseph; grandchildren, Joey (Lisa), Lisa (Paul), Teresa, Mario and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Jaequan, Joshua, John, Jordon, Stephon, and Kendyl. Predeceased by his good friends, Clemons, Valentine, Valerie, Henry and Carol. He will be greatly missed. He joined the Army in 1948 and served in the Korean War. He was an elite member of the 82nd Airborne Division. A military funeral with full military honors will be announced at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
