I never had the pleasure of meeting Joseph, but I know that he was a very smart, sweet, considerate, compassionate young man who loved family, friends and animals unconditionally, and who was loved by all who knew him. My heart is broken. A young life was tragically taken from us way too soon. I know words cannot describe the pain and grief his family is going through, but I hope their loving memories of him will help get them through this difficult time. My healing prayers go out to all of you. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Thank you for this opportunity to share my memory of Joey. I was Joey’s Bible teacher at University. Often in class I would be amazed at his depth of thought and his wit. He had a solid foundation of truth and that is surely a testimony to his family and his early education at Christian Heritage. About two weeks ago after school one day, I had the privilege of having a one on one conversation with Joey. We talked about how things were going with school and at the close of the conversation, I asked Joey about his personal walk with God and he told me his salvation testimony. It was clear and heartfelt and I was moved to hug him and let him know how thrilled I was to be his teacher and would look forward to the rest of this year, getting to know him better. I lost my husband and my granddaughter last year...May our loving Heavenly Father give you peace, and strength in the days ahead. Grief is a process and we go at our own pace. In His Love. Mrs. Diane Spann
