Joyce B Hodges

We announce the passing of Joyce B. Hodges, who went home to be with the Lord at the age of 98.

Joyce lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humility, and love. She was a godly woman whose trust in the Lord guided her every step. Her life was a living testimony of prayer, kindness, and service, and she found great joy in sharing God’s love with all who knew her.

Joyce was deeply devoted to her family, who were the greatest blessing of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and cherished family matriarch. Her gentle wisdom, quiet strength, and warm spirit will be remembered always by those blessed to know her.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Gilbert Hodges; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Hodges; her brother, Robert Beaty; her grandchildren Terri, Tina, Eric, her great grandchildren Nevaeh, Trinity, and Journey; and her many nieces and nephews; along with many other beloved relatives and dear friends.

Though she will be greatly missed, her family rejoices in the promise of eternal life, knowing Joyce is now at peace in the presence of her Savior, whom she faithfully served.

A visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on December 26, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

The funeral service will follow at the same location on December 26, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

A committal service will take place at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home on December 26, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
