Born September 19, 1941, in Jacksonville, Florida to Johnny and Agnes Dopson. Juanita lived a life grounded in faith, and love. She loved tending to her plants, pruning her rose bushes, cooking for family and friends, and crocheting blankets.
Juanita was a devoted stay-at-home mother who prioritized her children and always offered a listening ear. She accepted Christ as a young girl and was an active member at New Beginnings Ministries. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially helping the grandchildren study their bible verses and reminding them about how much Jesus loved them. She kept a treasured stash of Keebler Vienna finger cookies – sharing one or two if you were lucky.
Juanita is survived by her son; Timmy (Chanan), her brother Howard, her sister Winifred, son-in- law; Ricky, her grandchildren; Allen (Isabella), Liam, and Elijah, her great-grandchildren; Stetson and Stella, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Agnes, her husband David, her daughter Diane, and her brother Russell.
Despite living with dementia the last few years, the essence of who she was - beloved wife, mama, mother-n-law, grandma, and loving friend remained ever present. Her life was defined not by the illness but by her spirit and love. She is now in God’s care, and she will be greatly missed.
