
Kathy was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She worked for many years as a clerk in the transportation and trucking industry. Kathy loved NASCAR racing and her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. Many would describe her as a loyal and dedicated Florida State – Seminole fan since their earliest memories.
Kathy is predeceased by her father and mother: Clyde Lincoln Schramm and Grace Julia Miller Schramm; she is predeceased by her brother; Curtis Kempton (Brenda).
She is survived by her sisters; Clydia Kersey and her husband Donald; Carolyn “Carol” Corbitt; niece; Laverne Smith; nephews; LeRoy Smith; Nick Smith; Jeff Kempton and Curtis Kempton. In addition, Kathy is survived by three great-nephews/nieces; Zachary Smith; Destiny Smith and Tracy Smith.
Kathy was a high energy person who loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. She loved her family and loved mowing the grass. During the “hey-days” of CB radios, her “handle” was “Little Red” because her favorite color was red.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, January 23rd at 1:00 pm at Edgewood Cemetery at 4519 Edgewood Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32219.
