

Kone Xayarath, aged 73, born in Outhoummai village in Soukouma province of Champasak, Laos on July 1, 1952, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 21, 2026 surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Kone was the heartbeat of the Xayarath family. Everything she did was for the people she loved. She worked for 9 years until her first grandchild was born. It was then that she chose to stay home to help care for her grandchildren embracing her most important job as a grandmother. Her family meant everything to her, and she showed her love every day through her care and devotion to each of them. Kone will be remembered for her resilience and strength, for always having a home cooked meal ready, for her contagious laughter, and for having the best jokes and gossip.
In addition to being a loving grandmother, mother, and wife, she was also proud of her Laos heritage and was a devoted Buddhist that served her community.
Kone was preceded in death by her parents, Pha and Khen Vannasy, and her nephew Khamsing Vannasy. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bounkanh; five sons Soubanh, Khanthaly, Syphachanh, Vanthana, and Jinda; grandchildren Loong, Joong, Aniya, Aejah, Caleb, Jinda Jr, Vance, Jayden, Jazmine, Isabella, and Khamden; great grandchildren Wyatt, Conor, and Kanan; 2 siblings in Laos; as well as countless extended family members, relatives, and friends.
Please join the family as we honor the life and legacy of Kone Xayarath: Viewing Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Traditional Buddhist Service Sunday, March 1, 2026 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Both will be held at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home 850 St. Johns Bluff Road North Jacksonville, FL 32225.
