The world shines a little less brightly with the passing of Laddie Jensen Dwyer, who left us peacefully on 10-5-2025 Laddie was a woman of extraordinary warmth, quick wit, and unshakable spirit—a true original whose presence could light up any room.
Always a trailblazer, Laddie was the first woman to serve as a Fuller Brush representative and the first woman in Florida to hold a Mortgage Broker license. A lifelong champion of creativity and talent, Laddie worked as an agent, through her company, A Unique Entertainment, for many local and international performers and artists, helping countless individuals find their voice and their stage for over 40 years. She had a natural gift for seeing the best in people and for bringing out their confidence, humor, and joy. To know her was to be encouraged, uplifted, and, more often than not, to share a good laugh.
Laddie was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Jaye Aline Asbell, her father, Paul Lee Jensen, and her mother, Alice Louise Wells, whose love and influence she carried throughout her life. She is survived by her devoted sister, Teresa J. Fischer, and her cherished son, Byron Von Dwyer, grandson, Thomas Ford Wilson and granddaughter Sunshine Zimmer. Together with dear friends who became family, they will remember her for her fierce loyalty, her stories, and her boundless heart.
A celebration of Laddie’s life will be held on November 16, 2025 from 2:00pm-6:00pm at The Riverhouse Club, 2137 Astor St. Orange Park, Fl. 32073; where friends and loved ones are invited to share memories, laughter, and perhaps a song or two in her honor.
Her legacy lives on in every life she touched—with humor, compassion, and an enduring belief in the beauty of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you make a donation in Laddie's name to the Safe Animal Shelter in Middleburg, Fl. safeanimalshelter.com
