Latrelle Petty Swearingen, 77 years young, passed December 28, 2013 to be with our Lord and Savior. She lived in Orange Park, FL. She was a member of Local Union #8461United Steel Workers for 24 years before retiring in 1999 from Metal Container Corporation. She is preceded in death by her children Wes Swearingen, Myrl P. Blanton. and Vicki L. Arnold. Survivors include sons, Bobby G. Faulk, Jack T. Petty Jr., grandchildren, Angel Mae Mead, John O. Blanton, Alisha Arnold, Vance Arnold, brother, Bokie Thornton, brother-in-law Art Larson, 2 nieces, 6 nephews, 3 cousins as well as close family friends and many other friends as well. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will be held at Jones Road Baptist Church, 2506 Jones Road, Jacksonville, FL 32220 on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Edgewood Cemetery, 4519 Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32219.
