He was born in Jacksonville on February 28, 1931. LG graduated from Highschool receiving his Diploma in 1943.
He was a member of the VFW and loved old movies and golf.
He is survived by his children: Steven D. Cook, Sharon A. Nichols, Debra K. Bussy (Rick), and David S. Cook (DeeDee), grandchildren: Tomos Cook, Zachary Judkins, Maegan McKenzie, Shane Cook, and Caleb Bussey, and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VFW Post 5968 in Orange Park, Florida.
