Lawrence E. Williams, 88, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida passed away October 9, 2010 in Plano, Texas. Born June 24, 1922 in Taylor, Florida the son of the late George and Nettie (Davis) Williams. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He worked for the Jacksonville Police Department for over 15 years before retiring.
He is survived by his son, Buddy (Julie) Williams, of Plano Tx; grandson, Glenn (Leanna) Williams and great-grandsons, Matthew, Jonathan and Jackson of Frisco Tx; brother, Jay D (Bobbie) of Pomona Park, FL; sisters, Iris Thompson of Jacksonville and Mary (Tom) Cleveland of Birmingham, AL.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M., Friday, October 15, 2010 at Chapel Hills Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
