Born in the Philippines, Leo immigrated to the United States in 1988, where he built a new life grounded in faith, love, and dedication to his family. A devoted husband and loving father of five, he worked as an accountant until his retirement in 2010.
In retirement, Leo found joy in simple pleasures—spending time with his family, worshiping at church, and unwinding with his favorite Korean dramas. A passionate vocalist, he especially loved singing and playing the guitar, often sharing his gift as a member of the church choir.
Leo’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched. He taught by example—offering wisdom, showing kindness, and living with unwavering faith. His strength, sense of humor, and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Evelyn, and their five children: Lira Stewart (Richard), Emmanuel Prieto (Lisa), Enrique Prieto (Deborah), Leonardo Prieto Jr. (Tara), and Lally Hutton (Justin). He is also remembered with love by his grandchildren: Christen Corboy (William), Joseph Prieto, Christopher Roberts, Rachel Stewart, Sophie Prieto, Makaeio Prieto, Kalani Prieto, Enrique Prieto Jr., Jaxon Hutton, Preston Prieto, and Jude Hutton; and his siblings in the Philippines: Iluminado Prieto, Jr, Yolanda Pajares, and Armando Prieto; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Though his absence leaves a deep void, we take comfort in knowing he is now in the eternal embrace of his Lord and Savior.
We will welcome family and friends to the visitation/viewing on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Funeral Home, at 7242 Normandy Boulevard.
