Leslie Francis Veal

Leslie F. Veal, age 78, of Callahan, FL passed away on February 20, 2024 at his home. He was born on March 31, 1945, in Rhode Island and was a permanent resident of Jacksonville, FL, and in later years moved to Callahan.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of thru the American Lung Association.

Married to Margie Veal (deceased 3/14/2022), for 34 years, with a combined family of children: Karen Veal of Thomasville, GA, Robert Veal spouse Marsha, Helen Buzzard spouse James, Tammie Crews spouse Al, Vicki Costa spouse Angelo, Mack Manual spouse Donna, all of Callahan, FL. Together they had many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Also Brothers: Dennis Veal, (deceased 11/29/2015) spouse Joyce of Jacksonville, FL- Buddy Veal spouse Sheila of St. Marys, GA. and Sister: Charlene Heller spouse Steven of Fernandina Beach, FL. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Leslie was an enthusiast of NASCAR as well as camping and a collector of late model cars. He retired in 2002 from ABF Freight Systems Inc., Jacksonville, FL.

A visitation for Leslie will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 3:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
