I always looked forward to uncle LC visiting us when were growing up.Even though there was usually no notice ahead of time. He would just pull up one day,or be sitting in the driveway when we arrived home. Never staying long enough to wear out his welcome, but enough time to enjoy him, his humor, and our hours of beating each other in a game of Poker, Rummy, Dominos or anything to compete in.I was amused how everything of value was significantly inflated ten fold.Our quest to find the ever elusive 1943 copper penny that was so rare, it was worth millions.His record collection that I would sit and go through, while visiting he and Granddad. If only he could have heard really heard how good the music was, not just the vibration of sound waves! In a selfish sort of way I feel somewhat cheated to not have been able to have a normal everyday conversation with him. Like the ones most of us take for granted. He had a very special personality, I truly loved him and cherish the memories always.

My dear beloved brother, 

I know you are right where you wanted to be and having a wonderful time catching up with our family that entered Heaven before you.  You have been a wonderful brother and no one knows how much I will miss you.   You have been loved by our whole family your whole life and have left us with many wonderful memories.  Our wonderful nieces and nephews have shown their love by the beautiful words they have shared about you.  You have been so blessed and also have blessed all you leave behind.
 
There is so much more I could say but time does not allow it.  I just want you to know that I have always loved you very much, and "who will I fuss with now".  No one will ever take your place!!!

Uncle L.C. was a wonderful uncle when we all were kids. He loved us as if we were his own children.  He had so much confidence in himself, and felt he could accomplish anything. Amazingly despite his hearing and vision impairments he was aware of everything that was going on not only in his life, but everyone else's around him. 

Uncle L.C. always loved to go places and was always ready wherever you wanted to take him.  Every Sunday, we would take him out to eat. He would be standing on the street corner waiting patiently for us and if we were a little late he would say “where have you been”. Uncle L.C. always believed in being on time. He also never cared which restaurant we were going to, he just wanted to eat anything that Eddie was having.      

We loved him dearly and will miss him being in our lives.

We have so many good memories of Uncle L.C.   Like the rest, I guess the card games, which he loved, and where and what he wanted to eat stand out most.
A great-great-niece who would not let anyone call her anything but Katherine, however would let him call her Kathy.  To this day no one calls her Kathy.  When he talked about Kim and Jeannie's sons it was always Kim's boy or Jeannie's boy. 
He always amused me when he saw a commercial on TV. He thought he needed to try whatever product it was just because it was new.   
I think what we remember most is his love for all of us and how much we all loved him even though he made it difficult sometimes.

Uncle L.C.,  I will never forget all of the fun times we had together as a family. Your will and determination to live your life the way you wanted despite your disabilities was inspirational. You always knew how to make me laugh, and I will never forget all of your stories.  Although you will be greatly missed by us all, I have peace knowing that you have finally gone home. I love you and hold your memory in my heart forever.

RIP Uncle LC.   You set an example of determination through adversity that did not go unnoticed even when I was a young child.  Your love of life and for your family was boundless.  My memories of your visits, always showing up with a little gift for someone,  and the love you showed to all the children, both your nieces and nephews and their children, is something I will always keep with me.   I will always remember the card games, trips to the store, fishing trips and you letting me drive when I wasn't supposed to (that was our secret).  Chandler was talking about you sitting in his room playing Zelda with him and wondering how you knew how to play.   I explained that you were smarter than anyone knew.  I know Uncle David, Aunt Liz and Aunt Frankie were all waiting for you at the card table in heaven.

I'm really going to miss you Uncle L.C. - It's hard to imagine you not with us anymore.  I have such great memories of you teaching me to play poker, rummy and spades!!!  Please tell everyone hello and give my momma a big kiss for me!!!  I love you!
