Linda S. Kerr, age 81, passed away at Riverside Post Acute Care on May 18, 2025. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on July 3, 1943, to Benjamin Franklin Spruill and Hallie Mae Spruill. After graduating high school, she married Robert W. Kerr on May 23, 1964.
Linda worked at a variety of jobs, such as, Duval County School Board, GE Capital, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. She enjoyed reading, collecting Porcelain dolls, cooking, church volunteering for Vacation Bible School and was an active member of her Southern Baptist church until she became ill.
She is survived by her sons, Robert B. Kerr and Richard C. Kerr, both of Jacksonville, FL.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Kerr; father, Benjamin Franklin Spruill; mother, Hallie Mae Spruill; and grandmother, Minnie D. Rice.
A Special Thanks to Barbara James for the kind loving and professional care she gave our Mom and Dad while they were in the nursing home. She was and still is a blessing to our family.
A graveside for Linda will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
