In loving memory of Linda Lee Ray, 76 years old, passed away July 14, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born to George Dewey Byrd and Lily Hancock Byrd on October 11, 1949. She went to Paxon High School and graduated in 1967. She married James Lavon Ray on January 12th, 1968. They were married for 58 years.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, George Dewey Byrd and Lily Hancock Byrd; and 10 siblings; Sonny Carter, Donny Carter, Johnny Carter, Joe Byrd, Jeanette Byrd, Judy Carter, Catherine Byrd, Lucille Byrd, and Ronnie Carter.
She will be missed by her loving husband, James Lavon Ray; son, James Dewayne Ray; daughter-in-law, Leslee Ray; grandchildren, Destiny and Lincoln Ray; and sister, Janet Carter.
She was a Christian woman who gave love to everyone and enjoyed violin music.
A Graveside service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on July 22, 2026, at 11:00 am.
