Lois Brewer Boyd, 79, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 10th, 2011. She was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church. She also retired from the Duval County School Board. Preceded in death by her father, Roy Alexander Brewer and her loving husband Kenneth Boyd Sr. Survivors include her mother, Lillian R. Brewer, son, Kenneth Boyd Jr and his wife Mari, daughter, Deborah Sheldon and her husband David, 3 grandchildren; Amanda Sheldon, David Sheldon and Ross Boyd, a great-granddaughter, Naomi Sheldon, and dear friend, Betty Edmundson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14th, 2011 in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. with Reverend Steve Mouzon officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank.
