

Luke proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he worked for 30 years as an Operating Engineer at Crowley, and earned his Captain's license. He was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
On February 14, 1967, Luke married the love of his life, Janet DuPuy. Luke was a family man who loved fishing, hosting backyard barbecues, and most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren. His proudest family moment, was the day his son Woodrow was born.
Luke is survived by his son Woodrow DuPuy, daughter-in-law Molly DuPuy, sister-in-laws Iva DuPuy and Mary DuPuy. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years Janet DuPuy, brothers Bob DuPuy and Jim DuPuy.
Luke's legacy of love, laughter, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on June 13, 2025 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Hardage Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205, followed by a burial service at 2:00PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Immediately following the burial a celebration of Luke's life will take place at Flying Fish Tap House, 1341 Airport Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
