She is survived by her oldest son, Mickey Taylor; her son, Gary Taylor; and daughter, Taylor Taylor. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Affectionately known as Mom, “Louie”, Grandma, Mama Taylor and Grandma T. She was a dedicated homemaker who also enjoyed several years working at the Winn-Dixie tea plant. She found joy in tending large yearly gardens, filling the freezers with vegetables, and preparing home-cooked meals. No one could forget her one-of-a-kind biscuits, that only she could make. Their home was a constant gathering place filled with food, laughter, and horseplay.
Mom was always there to care for children and babysitting. Regardless of the instructions she was given, she had a mind of her own. She lived for Saturday shopping trips and could easily spend two hours browsing in CVS and Belks. She also had a lifelong love for sweets, especially sweet potato pie, which she could easily eat a pie a week!
We would like to extend a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who visited her weekly. We especially want to recognize Sherri Rogers and Tyreka Abercrombie who were with Mom for three years. They stayed with us through thick and thin, and their faithful care truly made a difference in her life.
While the years have been long, the time together felt all too short. Please remember that she loved each and every one of you.
