

Luz Yniguez Javier; Matriarch of the Javier Family; Mother to 2 U.S. Navy Veterans; Mother of 9, Grandmother of 26 and a Great Grandmother to 43, passed away at the age of 93 surrounded by family at Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022. She was born on November 28, 1928 to Tomas Yniguez and Telesfora Gabriel.
Luz spent her younger years working as a Record Manager at the Philippine National Archives before immigrating to the United States and establishing her roots in Jacksonville, Florida. She spent a career in Jacksonville serving others and worked at Pic N Save and Florida Department of Health for Women, Infants and Children. She was a member of the River of Life Full Gospel Fellowship. She enjoyed her retirement years spending time with family and friends.
Luz was preceded in death by her loving husband, Felix Javier Sr., and her son, Ernie Javier.
She is survived by her 8 children and their spouses: Felix and Myrna, Rosalinda, Josefina and Modesto, Reynaldo and Edelle, Danilo and Brenda, Esmeralda and Redentor, Jojo, and Cesar and Rita, and Brenda; 26 grandchildren: Eyrda, Erin, Ernie, Ernest, Janice, Jason, Geraldine, Christian, Jason, Rachel, Junzlee, JR, Janai, Jerlee, Jovel, Erald, Jehser, Adrian, Marvin, Christine, Stephanie, Kim, Vincent, Michael, Jenny and Jessica; and 43 great grandchildren: Roxanne, Rosalyn, Luca, Brea, Thedi, Maeve, Felix, Franz, Denjo, DenDen, Ryan, Josh, Dominic, Cioni, Lyric, Cypher, Kai, Sydney, Jayem, Shaine, Ethan, Ernest, Sabrina, Yohan, Derick, Diesel, Mathieu, Mikaela, Maddox, Mazon, Maverick, Makhiel, Ezra, Lilly, Elijah, Amelia, Pauleen, Princess, Precious, Althea, MJ and Angel; and sister, Rosal.
Luz’s viewing will be held on Monday, March 7th from 6 pm to 8 pm. Her service will be held on Tues, March 8th at 11am. Both viewing and services will be held at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills at 850 N. St. Johns Bluff Rd Jacksonville, Fl 32225.
