Mable M. Chandler

Funeral services for Mable M. Chandler (Mema), 100 years of age, will be held at Hardage Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225 at 11:00 AM, Monday June 9, 2025. Mema was a native of Cherokee, Alabama, later resided in Rome, Georgia and most recently resided in the Jacksonville, Florida area since 1958. She is a retiree of Furchgotts Department Stores and is a member of Fort Caroline Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Mema is loved and respected by everyone who knew her and most recently was in the care of Dolphin Pointe Health Care, a place she loved and called home for almost 18 months. Survivors include son, Barry (Beverly), granddaughters Shannon (Chris) and Hayley (Evan) and grandson Barry, Jr. (Rachel). She is also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Chandler, Jack, Jax, Becca, Eli, Gracie and MacKenzie. She is predeceased by her husband Braxton C. Chandler, her father and mother, Clinton and Maude Moore, brothers J.C. Moore (Leoma), Alfred Moore, and Burley Moore, and sisters Bessie Moore and Martha Chandler (Hugh). The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until the time of service, with Pastors Barry Chandler, Jr. and Evan Pritchett presiding.
