Marcia Hittell

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ralph Hittell; her children, Thomas Lucas (Cynthia), Melissa Thomas (Jason), and Ralph Hittell, Jr. (Adela); brother, Rick Hillyard; and she was a Grammie to grandchildren Brooke, Jace, Jacob, and Lee.

Marcia worked as a Cellular Sales Representative most of her career before her health declined, requiring her to retire early.

Saturdays in the fall, she could be found cheering on the Florida Gators, whether on the TV or in person. She was a season ticket holder for many years with her best friend, her mom.

She was well-known and well-loved for her wonderful cooking, which was a staple of every holiday and birthday. She was famous for her lasagna, which was a frequently requested favorite for everyone’s birthdays. At Christmas each year, she spent countless hours making her award-winning Christmas candies to bring to all her family, neighbors, and doctors.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 11th, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. The family will receive friends one hour prior beginning at 10:00 AM.
