

Margaret Joan Holland, age 88, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on October 3,2025. She was born in Macon, GA on March 28, 1937, to Thomas Wedrell Evan and Margaret Lucille Anderson. She married Douglas Holland.
In her early years she sold stamps and Avon products but in the 70’s and 80’s she worked for Gibson Greeting cards and then she was a housewife.
Margaret enjoyed working in her yard, sailing on her sailboat, camping on Cumberland Island, and most of all spending time with family and friends. She was involved in Faith Baptist Church in her earlier years.
She is survived by her sons, Michael White (Sherry) of Jacksonville, FL and (John “Kevin” White (Terri) of Raeford, NC; daughters, Kathy Chambers (Mark) of Jacksonville Beach, FL and Kaye Nixon (Bruce) of Macclenny, FL; grandchildren, Dominic White, (Meredith), Diamond Gedeus (Zico), Aimee Evans (Justin), Shane White (Vicky) and Kaylee Mofield (James), 14 great-grandchildren and sister Fran Key of Griffin, GA.
Preceded in death by husband, Douglas Holland; grandson, Christopher White, sisters, Betty Darity and Vicky Evans; and brothers, Billy Evans, Tommy Evans and Danny Evans.
A visitation will be held at the Riverside Event Pavilion, 1373 Memorial Park Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32205, on October 11, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm.
The burial will be conducted at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218, on October 15, 2025, at 12:30 pm.
