Marion Wayne Guiney, age 70 passed away Wednesday October 29, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. Wayne was born May 14, 1944 in Lafayette, Indiana to Samuel Preston and Goldie (Hanthorn) Guiney. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Before having problems with his vision Wayne enjoyed painting and spending many hours reading. Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years Mary Guiney, and two sons Rick Fleeman and Wayne Guiney. Wayne will be missed dearly by his sons Mark Guiney (Tina) and Michael Guiney; daughters Kathy Woods (Ernie), Georgie Rudisille (Joe), and Kellie Hawkins; a sister Mary Alice; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty three great grandchildren. Family will receive friends and family 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Sunday November 2, 2014 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Monday , November 3, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Riverside Memorial Park.
