

by her husband, Antonio Baluyot, her son, Richard Baluyot, her daughter, Christine Delrosario,
and her five grandchildren, Max, Alex, Xavier, Elise, and Aiden.
Marisol was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, who lived for her family. She was born in
the Philippines on May 13, 1946 and came to the United States in 1968. She first lived in
Chicago with her friends, and later met her husband, Tony, in San Diego while touring California.
They got married and had their first child, Richard, in 1973. They then moved to Jacksonville,
FL, where she had her second child, Christine, in 1982. While in Jacksonville, she established
her career as a nutrition and food service manager at Memorial Hospital. She held her tenure
with Memorial for 29 years before she retired at the age of 66.
She was active in the Filipino community, where she served as president of the Filipino Civic
and Cultural Association from 2006 - 2011, and received a community service award from the
Filipino American Community Council of Northeast Florida. She volunteered for three successful
medical missions in the Philippines, and also volunteered at the St. Vincent De Paul thrift store.
Family and friends will always remember Mary for her kind heart, strong religious beliefs,
leadership, and willingness to help others in any way she could. Her memory will carry on
through all the lives she’s touched during her lifetime.
A visitation for Marisol will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A mass of christian burial will occur Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 523 Pablo Ave, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
