

Marjorie (Helt) (Hastings) Ellisor of Jacksonville, FL 91, passed away Thursday, January 16th. She is survived by her loving sons. Gene Edward Hastings (Christi), Martin Hastings (Malissa). Also survived by loving step-daughters Lisa Pesta (Norman), Blakely Cooperman and grand daughter Laura Cooperman. In addition to niece Karen Mitchell( Troy) and nephew David Bond (Romalyn), Jack and Brandon.
She was preceded in death by husbands William Blakely Ellisor (2022) and Gene Edward Hastings Sr. (1974) Henderson Helt (father), Marguerite Helt (mother), Fredrick Helt (brother), Carol Bond(sister).
Originally from Mobile, AL, she attended school with the desire for teaching. She graduated from Montavalo University with a degree in Education and Music.
She taught at many schools in Mobile in her 25 yr career. She continued to substitute in FL after marriage to her husband William. She was a proud member of the Honorary Teachers Society.
Most importantly she was faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As member of First Baptist Church Mobile and First Baptist Church Jacksonville, she filled many roles teaching children’s Sunday School and serving in the communities. She was blessed with a kind heart, never met a stranger and loved doing for others. She touched many lives through the years.
Funeral services will be held on January 23, 2025 at 11:30am at the Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Road, North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. The family and friends will gather together at 10:30am.
