Martha Wallace Weldon, 87, passed peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2012 with her loved ones by her side. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years, Robert Weldon. Martha is survived by 2 sons, 1 daughter, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, 1 sister, nieces, nephews, and friends. Martha had a good life, always happy and content. Her favorite times were coffee with her brother, Cleon each morning, family get-togethers, Church on Sundays, Wheel of Fortune, shelling on Sanibel Island, and watcher the Gators and Jaguars play. She was a member of the St. Johns Park Baptist Church for over 50 years. Her favorite quote was Ephesians 4:32 “Be ye kind one to another….” Her home cooked wild turkey with dressing meals will be missed as she. Martha was an angel on earth and now an angel in heaven. Thank you, Jesus for our time with her. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
