Martin was born on March 31, 1976 in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Sandalwood High School. In 2008, he obtained a Psychology degree from California State University East Bay where he was a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society.
Martin could always fill a room with laughter. He enjoyed music, playing guitar, writing, photography, and spending time with family and friends. Martin was loved by all. We only hope that he felt just as loved as he made us all feel.
Martin is survived by his parents Antonio and Angelita Balolong, sister Ellie Balolong, brother Marn Balolong, sister in law Marilyn, two nephews Marc and Mateo Balolong, niece Maya Balolong and fiancé Rachelle Joy Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13th from 6-8pm at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 14th at 10am at St. John's Catholic Church, 2400 Mayport Road with Reverend Mark Waters officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (www.naaf.org) in Martin O. Balolong's name.
